Tournament Rules

Mario Kart 64 Racing Tournament:

Game mode: 4 Player VS

Speed: 150cc

Tournament type: Single Elimination

Players will play all four races of a randomly chosen cup (chosen by number generator). In the case of finals, players will play all 16 races across all cups. Players will receive points each race based on the placement rank:

  • 1st place: 4
  • 2nd place: 3
  • 3rd place: 2
  • 4th place: 1

At the end of the cup, points from all races will be added. The player(s) with the most points advances.

Shortcuts: Allowed

Exploits or Glitches: Not Allowed

Character Selection: Characters will be chosen on a first to lock in basis. The first participant to lock in that character will be able to use them for the round.

Battle Tournament:

Speed: 150cc

Tournament type: Single Elimination

Players will play one randomly selected map during the round of 32. The map will be chosen by assigning each map a number 1-4, and having a random number generator decide each round. The last player alive wins the round. In the case of all rounds after the round of 32, all maps will be played, and points will be assigned after each map based on which place was attained:

  • 1st place: 4
  • 2nd place: 3
  • 3rd place: 2
  • 4th place: 1

Players must remain active during the entirety of the time of play. If a player has not acquired and used an item for more than 30 seconds, they will be considered “AFK” and be disqualified for that round.

Elimination:

Round of 32: Top 1 from each match advances

Round of 8: Top 2 from each match advances
